The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is responsible for collecting the information of residents in Ontario (name, date of birth, citizenship and school support) in order to create a Preliminary List of Electors for municipal and school board elections. Municipalities will use the Preliminary List of Electors to prepare their Voters Lists for the2022 Municipal and School Board Elections.

A person may make an application to the Clerk requesting that their name be added to or removed from the Voters' List or that information on the Voters' List relating to them be amended by completing and filing the prescribed from available at:.

during regular office hours between September 1st, 2022 to October 21st, 2022 and to the close of voting on October 24th, 2022. The application shall be in writing and shall be filed in person, or by mail, email or fax by the applicant or his/her agent. Proof of identity and residence as prescribed in O. Reg. 304/13 will be required of the applicant. If the applicant does not appear in person, a certified copy showing proof of ID and proof of residence/occupancy is required.

Qualifications of Electors

A person is entitled to voite in a municipal election if he or she on voting day,

- resides in the local municipality, or is the owner or tenant of land in the municipality, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; and

- is a Canadian citizen, and

- is at least 18 years old, and

- is not prohibited from voting by law.
